Jonathan joined the Centre for Care in January 2026 as a Research Associate, working on a project to evaluate the role of antipoverty interventions as a component of the Family Safeguarding Model, funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR).
Prior to this, Jonathan worked on a Nuffield Foundation funded project in the Department of Sociological Studies at the University of Sheffield, investigating online support for parents and families. Jonathan completed a PhD at the University of Manchester in 2023 and his research interests are focussed on exploring whole-life contexts using qualitative approaches, including creative and participatory methods, with particular focus on young people and families, technology use, disadvantage, identity and agency.
