We are seeking a paid intern to offer technical assistance for a maximum of one day a week to help and support the Quantitative Analysis and Research Network in Care (QAR-Net Care).
The Quantitative Analysis and Research Network for Care (QAR-Net Care) is an innovative initiative designed to address the existing gap in care research by emphasising quantitative methodologies. Traditionally, care research has been dominated by qualitative methods, leading to a deficiency in studies that utilise quantitative or mixed methods, such as computational modelling and large dataset analysis. QAR-Net Care aims to fill this gap, enhancing the rigour, originality, and impact of research in this field.
The intern will closely work with Dr Maria Petrillo, Dr Jingwen Zhang and Dan Williamson.

The closing date for applications is 7 February 2025. Starting day 24 February 2025 for a maximum of 12 weeks.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Assist with the practical organisation and facilitation of academic workshop and Conference.
- Support the development of research-led content of workshop materials, including briefing packs for the participants.
- Provide consistent updates to project teams and offer suggestions and guidance on tasks.
- Generate technical documents and reports, and actively contribute to workgroups, seminars and events.
- Manage Social Network and platforms to share news, events and calls.
The intern will have:
- A Bachelor Degree in Quantitative Social-science Background (e.g., Economics, Sociology, Social Work, Geography, Psychology etc.)
- Knowledge of social care
- Good time-management skills
- Experience of drafting materials for academic audience.
- Experience of organising and facilitating events e.g. meetings, group discussions, workshops (desirable)
